Born and raised in Galveston Texas, DJ Extraordinaire Roland Martinez, is the founder of Puro Party Radio. It is the fulfillment of Rolands vision that first manifested itself some 10 years ago. Roland is very familiar to many Galvestonians as the youngest son of Theodore & Diamintina Martinez, the original owners of the famous El Nopalito Mexican Restaurant. He started out in the music business over 34 years ago as a mobile DJ, providing music for weddings, quinceaneras, company parties, etc. He then joined Bandido/ Bnet Radio, internet radio stations based in Houston TX, specializing in Tejano music. Roland worked as on air radio personality for approximately 20 years which introduced him in to Tejano music artists & fans around the world! Roland has also been the official DJ for several of the initial Tejano Cruises, L.U.L.A.C. Council #151 Annual Cinco De Mayo Festival &Most Recently the inaugural Dia De Los Muertos Festival and TTMA Fan Fair in Historical Market Square in San Antonio, Texas.He has Also been voted best DJ five years in a row by the readers choice Galveston.com, Best of Galveston Island Awards. Now with much excitement and anticipation Roland & his long -time friend & new radio partner Roberto Torres have teamed up, launched The New Galveston, Texas internet radio station Puro Party Radio Online
